About trip
This is truly a route of two halves. The first half, south of the M20, is fairly easy going but still enjoyable enough. The second half however, north of the M20, has serious climbs and descents on the hills of the North Downs. A reasonable amount of technical ability is required on the second half of this route and a high level of fitness. If you are a beginner and not very confident then the first half of this route is ideal, you can easily cut out the North Downs section and continue on the road back to Harrietsham.
