Parking is available anywhere along the village street. A lot of the walk is over open fields and therefore can be very muddy as it was when I did it. Some nice views on the first five or so miles but when you reach the river the walk follows a path at the top of a very high cliff with trees between you and the river and so cutting out any possible view across the river. The path after Whorlton is very bad and in many places has been plowed away. The path gets so bad that it may be advisable to take the alternative footpath from High Cliffe to Winston.
