About trip
This is undoubtably the classic walk in the Yorkshire Dales. The walk is approximately 23 miles in length depending on the slight variations available on the route. What is compulsory though is that you must climb Penyghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). Thats a long way that includes an awful lot of climbing and an awful lot of descending. The point I'm trying to make is that you need to be fit for this one, it is a full days walking you will be undertaking should you choose to do it. Although I'm not one of the collectors of trophies (I'll do the hills and mountains and write about them, that's all) there are badges to be earned if you can complete the walk in under 12 hours.
