Good boots recommended for Whitehorse wood- very wet. Could not find a definitive end (start) point in Gravesend. But there was a sign outside the Royal Pier indicating that this was on the Saxon Shore Way. As the route taken followed the shore from the east of the Town Pier to the Royal Pier and the Saxon Shore Way is supposed to join the Wealdway, it is assumed that the route taken most likely included the official end (start) point of Wealdway
