This is a longer section of the Sefton Coastal Path starting at Crosby Marina Lake and ending in Hightown.
A leisurely walk with a small section in the sand dunes as you enter Hightown.
Hightown train station is nearby and you can hop onto the train returning to Waterloo station which is a short walk back to Crosby Marina.
