About trip
Woburn Trails offers some of the best mountain biking the South East of
England can offer, with over 90m of ascent climbs can be found to
challenge everyone.
Based on the Greensands Ridge the
terrain has some fantastic cross country riding, a bike park with plenty
of jumps and short downhill runs up to 30 seconds in length. For the
trail rider there are miles and miles of trails - enough to keep you
amused for a day and all within 60 minutes drive of London, Leicester
and Birmingham.
We have put together a suggested riding route at Woburn, it uses the official mountain bike route as well as some bridleways
and is in a figure of 8 starting from the Church Road car park.
Approximately 8 miles long with basic off road skills
required although there is nothing resembling a black run on the route
(honest!), there are a few hills to climb that may challenge you if you
need some fitness, please walk anything you are not sure of but enjoy
the ride!
A permit is required to ride at Woburn Trails however a day pass can be bought from a Ranger for anyone wishing to turn up and ride. For information and annual permits please see the Greensand Trust website.
