About trip
A short undulating walk that takes in the highest part of Nottinghamshire. North of the village of Oxton the path passes by the site of an Iron Age fort(Ox Camp) whose earth ramparts are still clearly visible. Nearby are two burial mounds. Part of the walk is by permissive footpath which is clearly signposted. Walk can be started/finished from either of the two pubs in the village
