About trip
This is by far the hardest section of the 3 day route. It crosses the Central Welsh Desert, so named due to the pathetic number of animals per hectare the area supports This is high tussock grass moorland of around 330 metres altitude. Happily there is a way through using old trackways, as goosestepping through it with a bike is exhausting . The army trained for the Falklands War up here. I remember them yomping around looking utterly shagged out.
