About trip
One of the most exciting and feared ridge walks in Britain. Blencathra is a unique mountain sitting at the far northern edge of the Lake District National Park. Easily accessible from the many parking laybys on the A66 trunk road, this fantastic mountain deserves its popular status. Sir Alfred Wainwright dedicated more space in his guide books to this mountain than any other.
