11/11/2016 GW/AW. AW found the route up Beckstones Gill very strenuous and vowed never to do it again. After visiting Seat Howe retrace steps and follow obvious path clockwise around Seat Howe to forest track then follow forest track to point on walk where path south is meant to meet forest track. Paths from visitors centre difficult to follow because of new cycling routes. Distance 8.42 miles. Took 4 hours 34 minutes. Height gain 1943 feet.
