The car park is just off the road and hidden by a hedge.
This is a short walk and it really doesn’t need a gpx file (the paths are impossible to miss) but I have included it here because it is so interesting. I mean, REALLY interesting. The Machrie Moor stone circles (plural) are amazing. If you ever wondered what archaeologists are going on about when they talk about a ‘ritual landscape’ then take this short walk. The number of monuments jostling for space here is astonishing. And we saw a Golden Eagle flying low and close by on the way back to the car park. A perfect couple of hours!
