About trip
Submitted by Timwoods on 03. Sep 2008 Use the Ordnance Survery Explorer Map(s): OL7 - The English Lakes: SE area A moderate walk (countryside) in national park Lake District in Cumbria, England, about 12.31km (7.65 mi) long with an estimated walking time of about 3:45. It is unsuitable for families with children, prams & pushchairs, wheelchairs. Please not that distances may not be entirely accurate. For details see http://www.carfreewalks.org/content/faq.html Timwoods's description of the walk: Many walkers pass straight through Kendal and head for the inviting peaks of the Lake District. But it's worth stopping off here to enjoy the delights of this pleasant market town, including this short walk out to Cunswick Scar and Scout Scar. It's a popular walk with local people and let's be honest, they usually know best! The walk is easily reached from Kendal town centre, which has several good bus services. Oxenholme is the nearest station, just southeast of the town.
