About trip
This is a sublime, high-level 'horseshoe' walk that ticks off five Wainwright fells and serves up stupendous views. It's a tough, steady climb and there's a couple of steep descents, but it's not scary or edgy. Route Is it for me? A long, tough climb at the start, and exposed summits in places, but primarily good paths Stiles: 1 Start/parking: Small car park on B5292, grid ref NY223241 Nearest town: Keswick Refreshments: Braithwaite Public toilets: None Public transport: Stagecoach in Cumbria's X5 service runs from Keswick to Braithwaite Maps Ordnance Survey Explorer OL4; Landranger 90 From Country Walking magazine, to subscribe visit www.GreatMagazines.co.uk/CountryWalking © Copyright Bauer Media Limited 2011.
