About trip

Submitted by Timwoods on 28. Aug 2010 Use the Ordnance Survery Explorer Map(s): 366 - Stirling & Ochil Hills West A moderate walk (mountain (above 600m)) starting and finishing in Clackmannanshire, Scotland, about 14.80km (9.2 mi) long with an estimated walking time of about 6:15h. It is unsuitable for families with children, prams & pushchairs, wheelchairs. Please not that distances may not be entirely accurate. For details see http://www.carfreewalks.org/content/faq.html Timwoods's description of the walk: The Ochil Hills stretch out for 39 miles between Stirling and Perth, and offer lots of great routes. They are the friendlier face of Scottish hillwalking, as they are not at all remote; towns and villages, known as 'Hillfoots', dot either side. They are still a brisk day out, though. This route starts with the impressive Dollar Glen, followed by King's Seat Hill, Ben Cleuch and Bengengie Hill, before dropping into Menstrie. Buses run between Dollar and Menstrie, and from both towns to Stirling.
