WALK TITLE: Taxal Edge and Goyt Valley– 7.5 miles approx.

DESCRIPTION: Taxal Edge–Wright’s Farm–Jenkin Chapel– Dunge Gardens – Mill Clough – River Goyt

DIRECTION TO START OF WALK: The walk starts from the car park off A5004 South of Whaley Bridge, SK 008799

Our suggested route is as follows:-

- take your preferred route to Macclesfield

- take the B5470 to Whaley Bridge (passing the entrance to Tesco on your left hand side)

- when you reach the main crossroads at Whaley Bridge, turn right onto the A5004

- after approx. ½ a mile there is a large layby on the right hand side. This is the start point for the walk.

MEET AT: Astbury Car Park as usual for a 9am start.
