About trip
From Okehampton free parking near or at the castle takes you for a walk that mainly follows obvious tracks through some spectacular scenery. The section furthest south takes you over Higher Tor which is the only steep / difficult gradient but well worth the view. The walk ends with a very nice woodland stream walk back into Okehampton. A pub 3/4 of the route at the village of Belstone may be a welcome stop.
