Park at the Kilafin National Parks Office, cross the river and make your way to the road, turn right and walk to the mast, head for the summit along the pathway, at the summit head directly south to pick up the path (or take the path), follow the described map route turning left into the forrest over a makeshift gate. continue directly south crossing one path (with a slight deviation right then left) continue until you emerge onto a forest track and turn left, then just before the house turn right to emerge onto road, turn left cross a small bridge then turn right (stream on your right) head south ( now on my map 'Harveys' there is a loop pointing at clara bridge which no longer exists) so when the path tuns sharply right, follow it, only a short distance from the turn there is a well disguised track to your left which will bring you along the river to clara bridge, a good spot for a brief rest. Head off NE along the road till you come to the tee junction, go straight across the road, i decided on the gated path to the right, (at this point take a note of the time because it is quite confusing where to turn) it should take 20 min climbing (1.2km) the track turns left and over a gate head NW until you emerge from the forest then turn right keeping the forest on your right, follow the track north to the mast. then home.
