Ogden Piethorne reservoirs near Denshaw

Starting at the car park at Ogden reservoir near Newhey , cross the weir heading N and follow path to pass Kitcliffe and Piethorn reservoirs to Old Greaves. Then follow Cold Greave Clough up to the main road opposite a Pub. Turn left and after 200yds take the path on the right heading to Readycon Dean reservoir then cross via the weir and follow the edge of the reservoir and bear right passing by Lurden Top towards Broad Greave Hill heading south over Denshaw Moor to Dowry Road. Follow the road down to Dowry reservoir crossing over the bridge  and bear right. When you reach the main road turn right and follow it over the weir at the top of New Year Bridge reservoir and carry on along to the end of the reservoir then take the path off to the right to Bowk house. Carry on up to Hey House and cross the main road to Rough Hey Cottage and continue to Rooden reservoir following the path past the top of the weir to Piethorne reservoir onto the Rochdale Way and finally back to the car park at Ogden water.
