Tinto from the east

Although I posted this route I can't recommend it because there is nowhere suitable near the starting point to park your car.  I have driven by the starting point and the path is definitely there but unless you like a long walk to get to it along an A road with no verge to speak of, give it a miss.  I tried parking by the roadside at the cemetery of St John's Kirk and the car got stuck in deep mud.  A farmer towed me out and I ascended Tinto from the south taking the Wiston lodge route.
