About trip
combining coastal attractions with beautiful inland countryside, this route offers walkers a host of natural treats along fairly easygoing tenain. The trail begins in the beautiful and historic fishing village of lnverbervie and heads along the shore, meandering between rocky coastline and grassy banks. ln summer, wildflowers and butterflies accompany you as you walk, while in winter you should look out for many species of birds. Next is the
pretty harbour of Gourdon and then another coastal haven,
Johnshaven, which is the proud home of an annual two week fish
festival each August, and a flower show. The route now heads a little
inland and climbs slightly to offer even better views across the
picture-postcard agricultural scenery, as well as out towards sea. A network of pretty lanes leads back to lnverbervie, where you might stop for a pub meal or coffee and cake!
