About trip
The Moray Coastal trail follows a stunning route for 55 miles from Findhorn to Cullen.
There is a treat around every walking comer thanks to rugged cliffs, caves, sheltered coves, old fishing harbours and stunning
sandy beaches. This shorter one-way section heads from the coastal settlement of Hopernan to Covesea Lighthouse. The route
is easy to find because of "coastal path" signposts. You'll soon find yourself climbing upwards to reach a fabulous clifftop path with wonderful coastal views. Look out too for a wooden fulmar sculpture that points the way to a viewpoint and take in the breathtaking beach far below. You might also see nesting fulmars on the cliffs. From here you should be able to see Covesea Llghthouse.
You can walk close to the lighthouse at most times, but when the tide is high you'll need
to stick to a path along the top of
the dunes.
