About trip

A Wee Cauldron and a Devil’s Cauldron offer a bubbling
excitement for walkers of all ages heading north from the pretty Perthshire village of Comrie. This route is way-marked and circular, so it's ideal for less experienced
walkers and families. At first the walk heads steadily uphill alongside
the pretty River Lednock and through ancient woodland before
drawing you deep into an atmospheric gorge. The route passes by the frothing water "pot" known as Wee Cauldron, which offers a taster for the larger water-filled pothole, Deil's Cauldron (Devil's Kettle). The stunning "Cauldron" was created during the last ice age and a viewing platform is the perfect place to take in this natural wonder. You'll cross "Shaky Bridge" for the retum where there is an optional steep but rewarding 30 minutes detour up Dun More to
Lord Melville's Monument. Also look out for wrens. buzzards and
treecreepers.
