About trip
This walk is filled with beautiful views and takes in Scotland's fabulous lochs and forestry. You'll start by walking by Loch Long
to reach the start point by a phone box. The path then climbs steeply uphill through pinewoods to reach easier ground. Stop and take in the line views of the craggy Arrochar Alps, which rise from the loche
grey waters. At a junction, with the train station on your right, keep straight on to follow the path uphill and round to the right.
You will traverse the hillside before seeing a viewpoint with a lovely panorama across Loch Lomond to the most southerly munro,
Ben Lomond. Some 1.5 km on, you'll cross a burn at a footbridge and turn right downhill. Recross the burn by a lower bridge and follow the path easily to rejoin the outward route.
