About trip

This loop is using different up and down routes to Bla Bheinn. The first challenge was to find a spot in the parking lot. We were lucky and picked the second to last... The actual path is starting opposite the stream, beyond the road bridge. The beginning of the path is easy and pretty boring but the landscape is opening up when Loch Fionna Chore comes into view, close to JCT waypoint. That's also where the path becomes fuzzy... We decided to head to the obvious crest (waypoint PASS). The way is steepy through more or less loose gravel but that's not big a deal. From there, there is no real and obvious path. The track log shows that we first made two attempts before heading back a little as the tracks through the boulders were fading out (see WRONGWAY waypoints). We decided to get around the steepy bouldery slope by the left side, looking for grassier grounds (WAYUP). Altrhough still very steep, it proved to be very workable even if using hands helped to scrambling up. This is not actual climbing, and the slope is easing up after about one hundred meters up. Sort of footpaths are found here and there to a summit (waypoint FALSESUMMIT) offering a tremendous view. From there, the Bla Bheinn summit is only distant of 200 hundred meters but getting there is a bit tricky. We carefully went down a few meters through a goulet before getting up again to the Bla Bheinn actual summit via the crest. Fantastic view all around. A sort of path goes down (WAYDOWN) to the waypoint JCT and then back to the car. Enjoy the Munro in the scottish (find your own) way!
