About trip

Park on roughed-up roadside verge and walk 0.5m to the Neolithic (4500BC) stone circle of 56 remaining stones (out of 140 originally). In the centre of the south side one stone has been deliberately set at right angles to the bank, although the reason for this is unclear. Can then venture northwards to hang out or east up to Garrow Tor (1086').
