About trip

Time: 2 Hours Terrain: Moderate. Description: Fangdale Beck, where this walk starts is, like popular Hutton-le-Hole, a pretty village grouped haphazardly around a stream, but here the similarity ends. Hutton is all ice cream and crowds; Fangdale has none of this, no cafes and no gift shops, and overall there is a quiet tranquility. Here is the ideal starting point for a pleasant and varied walk. Valley paths wander through riverside meadows, which in turn give way to high pasture, reached by an easy climb beneath scented pines.
