About trip

A701, North of Moffat, Park above the Devil's beef tub, where the Annandale way crosses the road. Small parking area at the gate. Also, a vehicle needed at Grey Mare's tail car park on A708

Description:- Point to Point from Beef tub to Grey Mare's tale, following county border fence for the majority of the route.

Some ridable climbs, but also a lot of pushing and carrying on steep gradients and hard going on the grass. There is a quad track and faint path for most of the route. And be prepared for wet feet at 'Rotten Bottom'.

The decent from Loch Skeen down the tourist path at Grey Mare's Tail is a stark contrast to the rest of the ride, challengine and a lot of fun. Enjoy the views otherwise
