If go clockwise, start walking up tarmac forest road or can cut to left (N) and join up further along - colour coded routes help. At the double back point near the top avoid taking the wide path back down the stream - just a bit further is a sign to the top. There is a rather treacherous route from the top going on but I think comes down the far side. Instead retrace your steps and then follow path up to little bench - just before that is the path back going off to the right and circling the hill. Look out for signs to osprey view point near the bottom - v. short detour.
