About trip

There’s a small car park a few minutes walk from the beach at Hell’s Mouth. This was a very enjoyable walk around Mynydd Cilan with great views and lots of birds to spot, including curlews in the fields just before leaving the beach behind to start the climb to the cliff top. Once you are on the Mynydd the walk is very straightforward and the path is clear without too many ascents and descents. We walked this one anti-clockwise and cut back inland from the beach at Porth Ceiriad to get back to Hell’s Mouth where we started. The OS maps show a footpath through Nant Farm, just before you get back to the beach, but this was diverted some time ago (according to the farmer) and a finger post points you to the ‘new’ path which skirts around, and above, the farm.
