WALK TITLE- Peak Forest/ Eldon Hill/ Cow Low

DESCRIPTION – Peak Forest over Eldon Hill (viewing Rushup Edge & Mam Tor); to Cow Low and return via the Limestone Way.

Distance: ≈7.6 miles; Time: ≈4hrs; Total Climb: ≈1000ft; Grade: Moderate;

DIRECTIONS TO START OF WALK – The start is at the village of Peak Forest which is on the main road from Chapel-en-le-Frith to Chesterfield, the A623, a distance of ≈23miles from Astbury Mere.

A suggested route from Congleton to Peak Forest is via Buxton and Peak Dale.

From Buxton take the A6 north towards Chapel-en-le-Frith.

After ≈2 miles, turn right on to Batham Gate Road.

Follow this road for ≈3.5 miles (via Peak Dale) until you come to some traffic lights, this is Peak Forest (Peak Forest Play Group on the right).

Go across the staggered lights on to Church Lane, signposted Perryfoot (and opposite Charles King And Martyr Church).

After ≈150yds park on the street -:
