A 7.5 mile walk starting from Apedale Community Country Park
The walk goes through Apedale Community Park to Black Bank (222 m). Into Silverdale Community Park, and then Bateswood Nature Reserve. Passes close to Alsagers Bank (226 m) before returning through woodland to Apedale and back to the car park. The walk is not too strenuous but it is likely to be muddy in places.

Directions to Start -:
From Congleton take the A34 towards Newcastle, turning right at the second roundabout (McDonald’s) after the A500. Follow the brown signs to Apedale Valley. At the end of Loomer Road enter the Apedale Community Country Park and follow the road up to the free car park at the Heritage Centre.
It is approx 25mins drive from Congleton.
