Updated GPX (10/04/2024) / Chester Ultra 100 Mile - Diversions include: / 1. Diversion avoiding River Dee flooding - Route leaves Checkpoint 1 and proceeds past Chester Racecourse and over the Old Dee Bridge before a quick figure of 8 near the River Dee Meadows before crossing the Queen’s Park footbridge and heading back to the Shropshire Canal. Please ensure you check in a second time at Checkpoint 1 which becomes Checkpoint 2.  You’ll then follow the canal to Waverton and rejoin the route. / 2. Frodsham Parish Hall - Replacement checkpoint 2024, very close to the trail, Checkpoint 6 and 11. / 3. Preston Brook Village Hall - New checkpoint in 2024, very close to the trail, Checkpoint 7 and 10. / 4. Trans-Pennine Trail reopen avoiding 2023 works diversion around Morrisons in Warrington.  Now follows the Trans-Pennine Trail (62 miles). / 5. Leaving farmland after crossing the River Gowy.
