Neist Point - Skye

We came here at the end of September and the parking situation was difficult. There are three areas beside the road (the what3words address is the middle one) but there was traffic bedlam when we got there and I can only imagine what it  is like in the summer.

However, it's a lovely spot and the  views are great.

We followed the track down to the lighthouse  and a little beyond. There are a lot of steps here. Most people stayed near the cars and so the further we walked the quieter it became until we were eventually alone with our thoughts and the views over the sea.

When we got back to the road we continued on a path along the coast to the north west for a little while to get a good view over the headland and the lighthouse. Lovely.

A short walk, but worth it for the views - it's a popular place for a reason.
