The Hareshaw Burn meets the River North Tyne in Bellingham and not far upstream is the delightful Hareshaw Linn waterfall. This Site of Special Scientific Interest is home to rare ferns and lichen as well as red squirrel, great spotted woodpecker and Daubenton's bat.
