About trip
Distance: 3.5 Miles Time: 1.75 Hour Terrain: Moderate Description: The cluster of houses sits on the edge of the broad flood plain of the River Till, tight under the lee of Dod Law: a small, rounded hill. This hilltop has plentiful evidence of prehistoric settlements with one D shaped camp just northwest of Shepherds House which was probably a farmstead. Two more can be found to the east on either side of the trig point and on the northern side of the moor is a more extensive fort called The Ringses.
