At 191 metres, it is the highest point on the south coast of Great Britain and is visible for tens of miles along the coastline. There’s a large car park at Seatown, where the work starts, and a pub (the Anchor Inn) opposite the car park: a nice place to sit outside and take in the views. This circular walk takes you to the top of Golden Cap and then turns inland for the return journey, passing the remains of an old chapel: St Gabriel’s. It goes without saying that there are fabulous views from the coast and from the summit.
