Around Knightshayes from Bolham

About trip

A fairly short walk with one steepish climb near the start. Park in Bolham village car park (near school) Turn right at the road and walk under the old railway bridge. Turn sharp left after the bridge and follow the lane uphill past a row of cottages and continue upwards until you come to Hayne Hill Cottage. Follow the road around to the right and then bear right past the farm house. Follow this lane into Knighthayes estate. Continue on until you reach the main driveway, you can then stop & visit the house & gardens if you wish. If not turn right onto thr drive and walk downhill until you see a metal gate into a grassy feild. (take care if sheep are present). Cut across the feild until you see a fence to the right . Walk paralell to this until you find a way down to a sunken green lane. Follow this through another metal gate and on until you reach the village. turn right here back to the car park.
