About trip
Distance: 2.5m Time: 1.25 Hours Terrain: Easy Description: The village of Aby through which our walk passes, used to have a railway line and before its closure on 11th September 1961, the station had the distinction of having the shortest name on the British Rail network. You can see evidence of the railway's existence if you look for it: a goods shed near Claythorpe, a railway bridge and a pub called the Railway Tavern. The Great Eau river flows nearby, where you may see swallows swooping for flies during the summer months.
